Colourful Music is a lively and engaging course designed for young musicians ages 5-10, offering an exciting introduction to piano and music theory. Through fun games, hands-on activities, and creative exercises, students will explore the basics of rhythm, song construction, and music theory in a way that feels more like play than practice.
This course focuses on building a strong musical foundation that students can carry with them across any instrument. They'll develop key skills in rhythm, melody, and harmony while also creating their own original musical pieces. Additionally students will vote on their compositions for a weekly "Composition of the Week", which is featured in the Lessons Centre and on the Long & McQuade London North Instagram!
By the end of the course, students will have a solid grasp of music theory that will serve as a stepping stone for future musical growth. Whether they're just starting out or looking to build their musical knowledge, Colourful Music offers a fun, supportive environment where learning comes naturally.
This course is an hour long and runs bi-weekly on Thursdays.
Session A is from 4:00pm -5:00pm
Session B is from 5:00pm -6:00pm
